Texas Association of Builders annual Star Awards:
Friday, November 17, 2006, the Texas Association of Builders presented Black Diamond Builders with the 2006 Star Award for the “Best Overall Design-Home Over $1 Million” for the KTRH Dreamhome. Held in Dallas, the annual event hosts the most prestigious home builders in Texas who were selected as finalists in the awards process.
Black Diamond Builders, nominated in several different categories, was honored to receive an award that recognized a wonderful team along with an incredible cause. The builders combined an experienced group of young “up and coming” Houston designers and decorators to create a tasteful and handsome “dreamhome.” Black Diamond Builders, as well as the creative team, donated precious time to ensure this showcase home was a success, while raising needed funds through ticket sales for the home tour to assist The Arbor School. www.arborschool.org
The KTRH DreamHome was an exclusive and unique program that teamed the Clear Channel’s KTRH radio station, Black Diamond Builders, architect, interior designers and decorators with some of the country's most advanced craftsmen, suppliers, and manufacturers.
The result was an outstanding home, currently on sale in the Memorial area, which demonstrated some of today’s newest and best architectural design features, interior decorating, consumer appliances, as well as building products, technology and multimedia offerings.
Guests came to the DreamHome not only to see the latest in home design and decor, but also to visit the Learning Center, where they obtained valuable information about the latest offerings for products in their home.
The home, currently for sale for $1,879,000.00, was on public display for six weekends in the summer of 2006 to showcase the products and services of the home’s Partners.
